Ecology of Spirits
You live among an ecosystem of spirits: presences around and within you that guide you, protect you, and hold your pain.
You might experience these spirits as inner voices or feelings. Some can be calming and reassuring. You might suddenly feel the loving presence of a departed loved one.
Some of these voices can be opposed to each other, pulling you in different directions. You might find that part of yourself wants admiration, but another part wants to be invisible.
And some of these voices can be critical. When you look in the mirror, you might hear a voice pointing out all of your flaws.
These are all inhabitants of your spiritual ecosystem - each one trying to take care of you in their own way.
Trauma, loss, shame, and disconnection can leave marks on your spiritual ecosystem. Spirits that were once helpful can become extreme - overprotective, overactive, or causing you to feel numb and shut down. Some spirits howl in pain, threatening to overwhelm you, while others may be locked into endless conflicts with each other. Left unattended, a wounded ecosystem may not heal on its own. It needs attention and care.
I offer one-on-one guidance using Spiritual Parts Work. In our sessions, we turn toward these spirits that inhabit your life - meeting them one by one, listening to what they have to say, and building relationships to make healing possible.
